There are many causes of blood frequency in dogs, some of the more common ones are cystitis, bladder urinary tract stones and crystallisation. A differential diagnosis is required and you are advised to visit your vet to check for specific problems, urinalysis, blood work, biochemistry, and x-rays and ultrasound. Particular attention should be paid to the presence of urinary shutdown in male dogs, which may cause acute renal failure over time.
