Do cats need to be de-sexed?

De-sexing surgery for cats is now very popular and depends on the owner’s wishes. Of course the benefits of de-sexing outweigh the disadvantages, but not all cats need to be de-sexed, as cats in heat may do things that cause headaches to their owners and affect their rest. If the cat is not in heat, the de-sexing surgery can be avoided.
