Distemper can be contracted at any age, but of course it is more prevalent in young dogs. The general clinical signs of distemper are: increased body temperature (flaccid fever), respiratory conditions, increased eye discharge, increased nasal discharge, coughing, dry nose, some vomiting and diarrhoea, emaciation, dehydration, etc. At a later stage, neurological symptoms may appear, such as twitching, uncontrolled muscles and skin symptoms.
