For dogs that are not fully immunised, it is recommended that viral respiratory diseases such as distemper and adenovirus are ruled out first. Fully immunised dogs that have developed antibodies are recommended to have some imaging tests to look at the respiratory tract and lungs. In older dogs we recommend that heart problems are considered. Specific conclusions should be drawn before any specific medication is administered. Remember to go to a regular vet.
