About the Short Haired Dachshund

The short-haired Dachshund has a short, smooth, sleek coat with a brush-shaped tail. A small amount of white in the chest coat is normal, usually in two colours, with few solid colours, including boar, chocolate, black, grey and camel, and each with a little brown markings, with the darker short-haired Dachshunds being more popular. The Dachshund is lively, cheerful, brave, cautious and confident, loyal to its owner, wary of strangers, easy to train, often making funny antics, very naive and lovable, a natural companion dog.
