The Poodle, also known as the “Teddy”, is recognized as the least shedding dog of the common pet dogs. They are small and delicate, and although they have a curly and dense coat, they shed very little. In fact, Teddy’s hardly ever shed unless they are in the middle of a moult. Although the Bichon Frise has a fine, slightly curly double coat that can be a little difficult to care for, they are indeed a dog that doesn’t shed much. Except for special periods such as the changing of the fetal coat, Bichons hardly shed, and their extremely soft coat makes grooming less difficult.
