Is the dog red-green blind?

Dogs are red-green blind. This is because dogs have only two types of retinal cone cells in their retinas, which can only sense yellow and blue and thus cannot distinguish between red and green, but this does not mean that the world is black and white in the dog’s eyes; they can still distinguish between some colors. Dogs’ eyes should be well cared for and when you notice frequent pawing, tearing, eye opacities, protruding third eyelids or colored discharge, it is recommended that you seek medical attention as soon as possible. Avoid touching your dog’s eyes when using any products that contain alcohol.
