Why do dogs like people touching its head

The structure of a dog’s head is similar to that of a human, with the scalp close to the skull and mostly musculofascial fibrous tissue. These tissues are actually quite an active area throughout the back side of the body and can be used in many ways techniques to relax and soothe discomfort in this area, such as head and neck discomfort, tight and numb scalp, dizziness, etc. This is why cats and dogs like to be scratched and rubbed behind the ears. Relaxing this part of the muscles and fascia will allow them to release their fatigue. Dogs trust their owners and treat them as leaders, then the owner will feel encouraged and praised if he pats his head, and the dog will be happy.
