The Chuandong Hound is also known as the Neighborhood Dog, mainly related to its place of origin. However, for many people, it is more difficult for us to see the Chuandong Hound in general, and we are not very familiar with its characteristics. So if you want to raise a Chuandong Hound, what aspects should you look at to determine whether its pedigree is pure or not? Today, I’m going to share my experience with you. 1. Observe its head: The purebred Kawahito Hound has an inverted trapezoid head, very compact features, a face full of wrinkles, a bamboo-shaped mouth, and black lips; its ears are small and thin, triangular, and upright in their natural state. Its eyes are sunken, slightly sinister and cunning, and the whole face looks eerie. 2. Observe its body shape: the front chest of the Chuandong Hound is wide, the back is flat, and the whole torso is cylindrical and covered with strong muscles. Its limbs are strong and powerful, with elbows outstretched; its tail heel is thick, tapering to the end, springy and stays upright. 3, observe its coat: the purebred Chuandong Hound’s coat is short, coarse and sparse, and its color is generally brownish red, brown, yellow, white, black, etc. If it is other characteristics, it proves that it is not a quality Chuandong Hound. 4, observe its gait: try to make the dog stand and walk, and observe its entire physique. A purebred Kawahito Hound is naturally aggressive and not afraid of anything, and its gait should be sharp and dashing and full of power, not presenting a timid, scared image. In short, to determine whether a Kawahito Hound’s pedigree is pure, we generally use these external characteristics as a reference basis, and it would be even easier to know the origin of its previous generation’s pedigree. In addition to pedigree, we should also pay attention to the dog’s mental state, diet, etc. It is equally important whether it is healthy or not.
