Purebred Bichon Frise’s characteristics Purebred Bichon Frise’s appearance characteristics

The purebred Bichon Frise should first be very well proportioned, while the height of the Bichon Frise should be between 9.5 inches and 11.5 inches. If some Bichons are slightly taller, but have a very standard and proportionate appearance, then this can be relaxed. The coat of a purebred Bichon Frise should be very soft and supple. Especially after the Bichon Frise has been bathed and brushed, the coat stands on the body and produces a powder puff effect overall. The most recommended color for a mature purebred Bichon Frise is white. If it is a Bichon Frise puppy you can relax a bit, for example some puppies have light yellow, cheese or apricot shades around their ears or on their torso, it does not matter much as some Bichon Frises grow up to be white in color. Purebred Bichons have round, front-of-the-head eyes; the best eye color is black or dark brown with a ring of black or brown skin surrounding the Bichon’s small round eyes. Overly large or protruding eyes, almond-shaped eyes and crooked eyes do not meet the criteria for a purebred.
