Labrador is in the awkward period at five months old, when the dog’s body will appear to grow significantly taller and bigger, the body proportions will become uncoordinated, and the coat will become disheveled. Labrador’s awkward period generally starts from 2-3 months of age until the end of 5-6 months of age. During this period, in order to meet the dog’s rapid growth needs, the owner can choose to feed some high protein and high fat food, such as chicken breast, beef, fish, etc. You can also feed 1-2 cooked egg yolks daily to supplement a certain amount of lecithin to beautify the coat.
