Euthanasia of cats

Euthanasia in cats is usually done by intravenous injection. When the drug is injected into the body, the cat’s pupils will dilate instantly, a slight convulsion may occur, and then the drug takes effect and the cat’s life is ended. Many cats have to choose euthanasia because they have advanced feline transmissible abdomen or other diseases that are incurable and will keep destroying the cat and causing it pain; usually by intravenous injection, they will die in a painless manner within 20 seconds, during which urinary incontinence and muscle tremors may occur. Euthanasia method I. Drug euthanasia generally uses intravenous injection of drugs to inhibit the neurons in the brain subsequently leading to the death of the cat, during the process there may be symptoms of emptying the bladder, muscle tremors; but the neurons of brain activity and vital functions are destroyed, the animal will immediately lose consciousness, the midbrain control of the heart and respiratory center will begin to disappear, and then the vital characteristics disappear. The pet will not feel any pain during the whole process. Physical euthanasia: spinal stabbing, gunshot, cervical dislocation, severed head, electric shock, microwave stimulation, death trap, chest compression, bloodletting, etc. are all physical euthanasia; however, bloodletting, stunning and cerebrospinal puncture cannot be used as a single method, but can be used as a supplement to other euthanasia methods. Experienced staff using professional equipment to perform physical euthanasia may be better than other euthanasia methods; cats can hardly feel fear and anxiety because the time is too short to react, and there is no pain at all. Note that to euthanize a cat, you must find a regular hospital, or the cat will suffer if the surgery is not handled properly.
