Raising a Border Collie is not an easy task, we need to spend some time every day to take care of it, besides feeding it, we also need to groom it regularly. The Border Collie is a long-haired dog, and if it is not groomed regularly, its coat may get tangled. Today I will share with you the steps and methods to comb the Border Collie’s coat. One: Gently comb the Border Collie’s coat with a comb to untangle the tangled hair, and do so gently. Two: Use the comb to comb through the neck, shoulders, back, chest, waist, abdomen, hindquarters, and head in that order. The action should be gentle, to avoid combing too hard to pull out its hair at once. When combing, you can hold the root of the hair with one hand and comb the hair with the other hand. Remember to carefully comb the hair that is easily tangled. 3: Comb the Border Collie’s coat again with a wide comb to remove any tangles that were not combed out. Then comb again with a fine comb. 4: Trim the long hair around the Border Collie’s feet with scissors. Especially the long hair in front of the toes should be trimmed, because it is easy to hide dirt here, and if not trimmed, it will easily retain dirt and cause unnecessary skin diseases. Five: Trim the long hair and fuzz on the Border Collie’s hips with scissors again to prevent knots and dirt in that area. It is a very common thing to groom and trim a Border Collie, so there is a lot to learn about this if you want to really raise a Border Collie well.
