The first signs of pregnancy in the golden coat appear a week or so after mating, when the golden’s pubic area shrinks rapidly. At about three weeks of pregnancy, the Golden will experience varying degrees of vomiting and loss of appetite, which is the pregnancy reaction. After one month of pregnancy, the Golden’s abdomen will increase significantly, the breasts will sag, and the nipples will be so elastic that they turn peachy in color. If the Golden’s mother is fasting at this time, the owner can touch her abdomen and find the presence of an egg-sized embryo.
