Dogs can eat cooked mushrooms, commercially available edible mushrooms, mushrooms, etc. are not harmful to dogs. However, it is generally not recommended that dogs eat mushrooms. When dogs eat mushrooms, if they are not well chewed, they are easily swallowed whole, which may get stuck in the trachea and cause obstruction. There are also mushrooms are not easily digestible and have to be treated by doing surgery or other invasive treatment after getting stuck in the gastrointestinal tract. Avoid allowing your dog to eat mushrooms to avoid the habit of eating them and accidentally eating toxic mushrooms in the wild. Dogs also do not need to eat mushrooms for nutrition; mushrooms are not a necessary food for dogs.
