Symptoms of mites in dogs

Common mites that infect dogs include canine mange mite, canine worm mite, and ear itch mite. The canine mange mite can cause redness and intense itching of the skin, the canine worm mite can cause redness of the skin and oily skin when the infection is severe, and the ear itch mite can cause increased discharge from the ear canal and itching. Mites can be very harmful to dogs, and prompt medical attention is recommended. The canine mange mite can cause a more serious skin disease that is round, slightly yellow, and raised on the back. The main manifestations of canine mange mite infection are intense itching and redness of the skin. The general symptoms are hair loss, erythema, increased flakes and scabs, and later can cause thickening of the skin. Mostly infects the back, lower abdomen and the edge of the ear.
