Why are there fewer Dalmatians?

Why are there fewer Dalmatians bred? The Dalmatian itself is not a popular dog to the public and rarely gets noticed. More than a decade ago, Dalmatians were once popular because of a cartoon called “101 Faithful Dogs” and more people gradually bred them, but as the fervor declined, they gradually rarely entered people’s view, which is the main reason why there are few Dalmatians. Dalmatians are medium to large dogs that are no less than 35cm tall at the shoulder as adults and meet the criteria for prohibited dogs, so they are often listed as prohibited dogs in many large, densely populated cities. This also means that people who breed Dalmatians cannot get a breeding certificate and cannot do so legally, so fewer people breed them. Dalmatians have short coats and have coin-sized black spots all over their bodies when they are young. These spots expand as they get older and eventually become dark, large sections that do not fit most people’s aesthetics, so naturally fewer people breed them.
