The time and state of the embarrassment period for dogs is usually about 3 to 9 months of age, as the puppy’s body grows rapidly at the same time because of the different growth rates of various tissues and structures, resulting in the puppy temporarily losing the correct body proportions, balance and beauty of the breed. Changes during the awkward phase of the dog such as a longer muzzle are due to the obvious longitudinal growth of the puppy’s skull, resulting in a longer muzzle, followed by an obvious lateral (width), longer face, lack of body proportion, sparse coat, etc.
