Husky hair Husky hair characteristics

The husky coat has 2 layers: the outer coat and the down coat. The ratio of inner hair (down) to outer hair is generally 8 (inner hair):1 (outer hair), these thick inner hairs secrete a kind of grease used to waterproof, but also because of this grease to create a very scientific insulation (INSULATION), against the outside heat and cold. The outer hair is divided into 2 sections, usually you can see the top dark shiny, the lower end of the hair is coarse and relatively light color. This top shiny hair is called “SILVER TIPS” (silver tips) is used to resist ultraviolet light and heat from the hot sun; the thick hair roots grow tightly inside the skin, so generally speaking the husky’s outer coat is relatively less prone to hair loss.
