Poodle refers to the dog breed, as opposed to other dog breeds such as Chihuahua and Chenille. Teddy, on the other hand, refers to the way the coat is groomed. The relative is sport style, continental style, etc. So Teddy is just one way of grooming a poodle. All poodles can wear teddy outfits, but only the red ones look like teddy bears, because teddy bears are red. From a professional point of view, it was once thought that there was no such thing as a “teddy poodle”, but only one of the many coat colors of the poodle. Those called “teddy bears” are often the “short and stubby” ones with bad heads. From a commercial point of view: this is indeed a very successful “selling point”, it makes the original eliminated category of quality into a merit, selling point! The standard for poodles is that the mouth should be pointed and curved, but there are inevitably a few stubby mouths in a litter, so, for commercial gain, I don’t know which “smart person” deliberately left the hair around the mouth of the little VIP not shaved, so that it looks like a cartoon image – this is “Teddy Bear VIP”!
